Better Brush: A Bold Font for Creative Campaigns

It’s 9 PM on a Thursday, and the team is finalizing the visuals for a product launch. The client wants something eye-catching, something that stands out in a crowded feed. We’ve tried a few options—clean sans serifs, classic serifs—but nothing feels quite right. Then I remember: Better Brush. It’s been sitting in our design assets for a while, waiting for the perfect moment to shine.

What Is Better Brush?

Better Brush is a cool and bold brushed handwritten font that brings a sense of energy and personality to any design. Its brush strokes give it a dynamic feel, making it ideal for headlines, logos, and visual elements that need to grab attention. The font has a natural, almost organic look that feels handcrafted, yet it’s consistent enough for professional use.

Its style is versatile but not generic. It’s not the kind of font you’d use for long paragraphs or dense text, but it excels when used as a display typeface. Whether it’s a tagline, a callout, or a decorative title, Better Brush adds a creative edge that other fonts might lack.

Real-World Use Cases

During the product launch, we tested Better Brush on several key visuals. For the main banner, we used it as the headline, paired with a clean sans serif for the supporting text. The contrast worked well—it gave the design a modern yet expressive feel. On the YouTube thumbnail, we used it for the title, and the result was striking. The brush strokes added movement, making the thumbnail more engaging than a standard font would have.

We also used it for a social media post promoting a limited-time offer. The font stood out against the background, and its boldness made the message clear and immediate. In a Pinterest campaign, it helped create a cohesive aesthetic across pins, reinforcing the brand’s visual identity without being over the top.

When to Use Better Brush

Better Brush is best suited for short, impactful text. It works well as a logo-style font, a heading, a callout, or a decorative title. It can be used in promotional graphics, email banners, or branded templates where visual appeal is key. However, it’s not ideal for long blocks of text or formal corporate communication. The font’s style is too expressive for situations that require a more neutral or structured appearance.

For digital campaigns, it’s important to consider how the font will appear on mobile screens, thumbnails, and fast-scrolling feeds. Better Brush holds up well in small previews, but it’s best to avoid using it in tiny sizes or on dark backgrounds where the brush strokes might become hard to read.

Font Pairing and Design Tips

To maximize the impact of Better Brush, it’s helpful to pair it with a complementary font. A clean sans serif like Montserrat or Poppins can balance its expressiveness, creating a visual hierarchy that guides the viewer’s eye. A serif font like Playfair Display could also work well for a more traditional yet elegant look.

When using Better Brush in a campaign, make sure to check the available styles, alternates, and ligatures. These features can add subtle variations that enhance the design without overwhelming the viewer. Also, verify the file formats and licensing terms before using the font in ads, merchandise, or client projects.

Practical Considerations

Before finalizing a design, it’s always a good idea to test Better Brush in different contexts. Try it on a variety of backgrounds, both light and dark, to see how it performs. Pay attention to how it looks in small sizes, especially for thumbnails or social media icons. If the font becomes too busy or unclear, consider adjusting the size or spacing.

For campaigns that rely on consistency, Better Brush can help reinforce brand identity. Its unique style makes it memorable, which is crucial for audience engagement and recognition. However, it’s important to use it strategically—overuse can dilute its impact.

As a marketing designer, I’ve found that Better Brush is a valuable addition to any creative toolkit. It brings a fresh, energetic vibe to designs, making them more visually compelling and emotionally resonant. Whether it’s for a seasonal sale, a webinar banner, or a content series, Better Brush has proven to be a reliable and effective choice.
